The curriculum of the MSc in Sustainable Architecture is structured around three main concerns related to the environmental impact of the built environment I semester:
It focuses on understanding key issues pertaining to sustainability of water resources in relation to environmental, economic and social contexts, with attention to the impacts of development and climate change. Participants attend courses and also acquire practical and relevant experience through high level supervised research.
General research topics include: Ziele The MAS programme is designed to advance the education of graduates, professionals and policy makers on the importance of water availability and water scarcity in a changing world, at the same time preparing them to face the challenges of the future, e.
Successful participants will enhance their technical skills and scientific background in water resources, and they will develop a broad and integrated vision of water resources management within a changing environment.
Participants will gain multi- and interdisciplinary knowledge. They will be able to tackle and solve complex problems independently due to their solid theoretical background. In addition to environmental and technical competence, participants will develop communication skills among different disciplines.
The programme will prepare the participants to be leaders in promoting sustainable water resource management policies worldwide. Berufliche Perspektiven Successful students will be able to work in public and private sectors dealing with the assessment and management of water resources: The participants will gain an international perspective of water resources within a context of sustainability and development.
Programmstruktur The study programme is completed full-time in 12 months. Based on the student's research topic and specialisation, an individual study programme is developed for each participant.
The study programme includes master level courses at the Institute of Environmental Engineering, as well as master courses at other institutes at ETH Zurich.
The participant is also required to write a thesis based on a supervised research project which takes place for the duration of the programme.
Zielpublikum Specialists with engineering backgrounds who are concerned about water resources and sustainability.

The professional study course Master Green Architecture (taught in english) is being offered by the Wismar University of Applied Sciences: Technology, Business and Design (Germany).
The aim of our Master Green Architecture is to provide the tools and the technical knowledge necessary for understanding complex 'ecological building' design. Students in the Major in Mineralogy and Geochemistry learn to interprete the textures of rocks and minerals, to analyse them with chemical and physical methods, to perform experiments to understand mineral- and rock-forming processes and to use computer tools to simulate geological processes that are either too long, too hot or too deep to be investigated directly.
